Jackie Martinez
Mrs. Martinez is originally from Austin, Texas where she began her dance career at the age of three. After 15 years of training in the studio and serving as the Captain for Travis High School, she attended Southwest Texas State University as a member of the world-famous Strutters. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Dance Education. While attending SWT, she choreographed and performed in the Opening Door Dance Theatre, Choreographer’s Collective, and Choreographer’s Showcase. Mrs. Martinez was also a member of the Texas Rattler Pom Squad.
Mrs. Martinez is in her twenty-first year of directing the Rebelettes. She was the 2023 Travis H.S. Teacher of the year and was a 2023 Semi-Finalist Director of the Year for the Texas Dance Educators Association. She is the Co-Director for the Austin ISD’s All-City Dance Team, the High School Dance Liaison for Austin ISD and currently writes the curriculum for the district and is the Faculty Co-Chair for the CAC.
Mrs. Martinez is blessed to share her life with her loving husband Coach J.F. Martinez and her sons Jordan and Jace.
