Austin FC II announced today several additions to its MLS NEXT Pro roster ahead of the team’s 2025 home opener on Friday, March 7. The team currently comprises 17 players signed directly to MLS NEXT Pro contracts. Additionally, three (3) Austin FC first team players have signed loan agreements with ATXFC II making them eligible to compete in both MLS and MLS NEXT Pro matches, and 11 Austin FC Academy players have joined ATXFC II on amateur agreements.
Goalkeeper Aaron Cervantes, who was out of contract at the end of last season, re-signed with the team on a new MLS NEXT Pro contract through the end of the 2025 season with an option for 2026. Cervantes made seven (7) appearances for Austin FC II in 2024 and made 27 saves.
Midfielder Micah Burton, forward Jimmy Farkarlun, and forward CJ Fodrey have signed loan agreements with Austin FC II. Each player remains eligible to compete in MLS matches at any time at the discretion of the Austin FC technical staff.
Forward Chris Avila, midfielder Mo Badawiya, defender Isaac Brown-Samper, defender Lucas Cavalcante, defender Santiago Maynez, defender Mason Miller, defender Chuy Moreno, midfielder Damion Perez, forward Joah Reyna, goalkeeper Cooper Roney, and midfielder Jackson Stephens all signed amateur agreements to join Austin FC II.
Maynez, Miller, and Reyna have previously signed amateur agreements with ATXFC II and either played or trained with the team. Amateur agreements allow young players to train and compete for Austin FC II while maintaining collegiate and academy eligibility.
The structure of Austin’s MLS NEXT Pro team is designed to allow for players at all levels of the organization to get the playing and training experience that is right for them at any given moment of their development throughout their season.

Austin FC II will kick off its third season in MLS NEXT Pro tonight, March 7 with a 5:30 p.m. CT home match against Colorado Rapids 2 at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center. Tickets for that match, and for all the team’s 2025 home matches, are on sale now.
