Austin FC II returns home after earning a point on the road against St. Louis City 2 on March 30th. The Verde & Black led in shots on goal in the first half and kept City 2 at bay after the break as the match went to a penalty shootout. After both teams scored each of their first four penalties, City 2 produced a goal in sudden death to give them the extra point.
ATXFC II will take on North Texas SC under the Parmer lights as the team returns to their fans with the comfort of home field advantage and hopes to redeem their last meet up that ended with a loss.
North Texas SC Outlook
North Texas SC will head down I-35 to play Austin FC II in their sixth regular season game and third away game. North Texas is currently 2-0-3 this season as they come off a victory over Timbers2 from April 5th. Malachi Molina scored a late goal in added time to close the team’s wins to losses gap.
Head Coach John Gall headed into the 2025 season with a new contract extending his position with North Texas through the 2026 season with an option for 2027. This season marks Gall’s second season as head coach following his promotion from assistant coach at the end of the 2023 season.
