Austin FC II and MLS NEXT Pro announced today the details for the Club’s participation in the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Cup, the league’s championship final match. On Sunday, October 22 at 5:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. CT, Austin FC II will face Columbus Crew 2 at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio, with the winner crowned as the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro champions.
The match will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and will be available to Season Pass subscribers. If MLS NEXT Pro Cup is tied after regulation, two 15-minute halves of extra time will be played, at which point the match would be decided by a penalty kick shootout if still tied.
In the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference Final, Austin FC II and Colorado Rapids 2 played to a 0-0 draw before Austin FC II prevailed 4-1 in the ensuing penalty kick shootout to win the Western Conference title and advance to the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Cup.
