Austin FC II will hit the road for the first time in 2025 as they travel to face St. Louis City 2 in their third regular season match. The Verde & Black will go up against the undefeated City2 Sunday afternoon for a 4:30 p.m. CT kickoff. The match will be available to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
Austin FC II Outlook
Austin FC II had a week of recovery following their loss to Minnesota United FC 2 on March 8th. Though the Verde & Black led in total passes, passing accuracy and goalkeeper saves, the match ended with a late goal by MNUFC2 in the 96th minute.
Austin FC and ATXFCII welcome Jimmy Farkarlun back from international duty for the franchise’s first double-header of the season. Farkarlun shone in his debut with the Liberian National Team scoring his first goal for his home country against São Tomé and Príncipe.
ATXFCII will take on City2 at Energizer Park with hopes to break their three-loss streak against the current No. 1 ranked team in the Western Conference.
St. Louis City 2 Outlook
St. Louis City 2 will stay home to host Austin FC II in their second home match and fourth overall match of the season. City2 ended last season with five returning players. In the offseason, City2 unveiled new assistant coach Baggio Hušidić and welcomed eleven players to their roster by the start of the season.
Head Coach David Critchley was one of the first hires for St. Louis City SC in 2021 and was promoted to City2 Head Coach in November of 2024. This season will mark Critchley’s first season as head coach for the team.
