Austin FC II fell to Sporting KC II 2-1 at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center on Friday night.
ATXFC II took the lead in the 48th minute when Sal Mazzaferro scored his third goal of the season from a corner kick assisted by Cheick Touré. Touré's ball landed in the six-yard box, and Mazzaferro headed it into the top left corner past SKC II goalkeeper Carlito Saylon.
The visitors then quickly scored two goals in just four minutes, with Felipe Hernández assisting both. Lucas Rosa fired a shot from outside the 18-yard box, equalizing the match in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, SKC II converted on a corner kick of their own as Macielo Tschantret’s header gave the visitors the victory.
