U.S. Soccer announced this week that Austin FC Academy midfielder Bryan Arellano was called up to the United States U-19 Men’s Youth National Team for the program’s domestic camp, taking place from April 22 to May 1 in Carson, California. The call-up is Arellano’s first involvement with the U-19 national team.
“We’re extremely happy for Bryan to see him earn this opportunity with the U-19 youth national team,” said Austin FC Academy General Manager Tyson Wahl. “He’s been a fantastic member of the Austin FC Academy since joining last August, and we’re proud to have him represent his country.”
Arellano is the third Austin FC Academy player called up to a U.S. Men’s Youth National Team, following Ervin Torres’ call-up to the U-15 side and Micah Burton’s inclusion on recent U-17 rosters. Arellano is currently competing with the Austin FC U-17 team at the Generation adidas Cup in Frisco, Texas, which defeated Mexican club Santos Laguna 2-1 in its opening match.
