Austin FC Academy teams played eight MLS NEXT matches away from home in November, but weren’t fazed by the challenge. Aside from MLS NEXT action, the month was highlighted by a U-17 friendly against Liga MX academy C.F. Monterrey, and another U-16 U.S. Men’s Youth National Team call-up for Ervin Torres.
November Results
Austin FC’s four Academy teams competing in MLS NEXT posted a combined record of 5-2-1 in November. The U-17s achieved that 3-2 result despite falling behind 2-0, with goals from Diego Rodriguez, Jesus Gonzalez, and Chris Avila spurring the comeback.
The U-14 side conceded only one goal in three matches, leading to an impressive win at FC Dallas and a scoreless draw with Houston.
