Austin FC II picked up a 2-0 home win over Real Monarchs on Friday night at Parmer Field at St. David's Performance Center, with both goals coming in the second half.

ATXFC II thought it had taken an early lead when Bobosi Byaruhanga rolled the ball into the net after 20 minutes, but the Ugandan international was ruled offside. Anthony De Anda then made a crucial goal line clearance later in the first half to prevent Real Monarchs from going in front.

CJ Fodrey came on as a halftime substitute and quickly made a positive impact. Fodrey earned a penalty kick when he was pulled down in the box and converted the attempt himself, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way. Captain Alonso Ramírez sealed victory for the Verde & Black with an excellent free kick in the 81st minute. De Anda made yet another goal line clearance late on, sliding in to preserve Austin's fourth clean sheet of the season.

Goal-Scoring Summary

ATX (1-0) - CJ Fodrey (penalty kick) 61'
