On Friday, Austin FC and Q2 Holdings Inc. announced a new way in which the organizations are teaming up in support of local nonprofits serving Central Texas communities. Through the annual Q-mmunity Gives program beginning in 2021, Austin FC and Q2 will award $50,000 grants to three nonprofit organizations dedicated to addressing issues of equity and inclusion.
“The Q-mmunity Gives program exemplifies Q2’s and Austin FC’s aligned mission to foster strong communities here in Central Texas,” said Matt Flake, Chief Executive Officer at Q2. “Through the creation of this new annual community grant program, we are proud to directly support nonprofit organizations which share our passion for strong and diverse communities.”
To apply for a Q-mmunity Gives grant, a program or project must be based in a Central Texas community and focus on the advancement of underrepresented people in one or more of three key impact areas: Education, Job Skills and Readiness, and Health and Wellness.
“Austin is known for its robust nonprofit community,” said Austin FC Vice President of Community Impact Kaitlin Swarts. “As part of our commitment to equity through inclusion, Austin FC is thrilled to team up with Q2 to launch a grantmaking program that will bolster local nonprofit organizations working hard to promote equity and inclusion in our great city for years to come.”
The Austin FC and Q2 Q-mmunity Gives Grant Committee began accepting applications on October 22 and will continue doing so until November 10. Award recipients will be announced to the public on December 15.
