The USMNT is all set for their debut at Q2 Stadium.
With a 1-0 win against Jamaica on Sunday night in Dallas, the U.S. men advanced to the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal, to be hosted on Thursday, July 29 at Q2 Stadium. The USMNT will take on Qatar, a special Gold Cup guest ahead of next year’s World Cup.
The USMNT is looking for two more wins to secure its first Gold Cup since 2017. On the other side of the bracket, Canada will face defending champion Mexico in Houston. That match will also take place on Thursday.
The USMNT descend on Austin shortly after the announcement by U.S. Soccer that Q2 Stadium will host a USMNT World Cup Qualifier. To be held on Oct. 7, 2021, the match will mark the first time that the USMNT will play a World Cup Qualifier in the state of Texas.
