Austin FC midfielder Owen Wolff is currently competing with the United States U-20 Men's Youth National Team at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina. The team won all three of its Group Stage matches to finish top of Group B and advance to the knockout rounds. Wolff recorded the game-winning assist in the first of those three matches, a 1-0 victory over Ecuador.
In the Round of 16, Wolff scored the opening goal of a 4-0 rout against New Zealand. The 18-year-old has contributed three goals and five assists in 16 matches (12 starts) for Club and country thus far in 2023.
Wolff and the U.S. U-20's will now take on Uruguay in the tournament quarterfinals on Sunday, with a place in the semifinals on the line.
