The latest, cutest foster pup from Austin Pets Alive! is now in the loving hands of an Austin FC player, ready for adoption.
Austin FC goalkeeper Will Pulisic and Mia de Leon have decided to foster Black Rose, a 4-year-old female American Pit Bull Terrier, while she waits for her forever home. Pulisic and de Leon’s gesture has now allowed for Austin Pets Alive! to make room for a dog with medical or behavioral issues.
“The mission at Austin Pets Alive! includes keeping people and pets together, ending the needless deaths of animals in shelters and reimagining the role of animal shelters in our community,” said Dr. Ellen Jefferson, President and CEO of Austin Pets Alive!
Pulisic, a former dog owner himself, was excited to welcome Black Rose into his home. Black Rose has spent the past two months at APA!, waiting for someone to take her home.
“I love my dog from home and definitely miss him,” Pulisic said. “I wanted to help the community and Austin Pets Alive! and foster Black Rose to help her get adopted. I am happy to play my part in this initiative and look to making this a regular thing.”
