Austin FC Head Coach Josh Wolff and forward Moussa Djitté were named to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Week, with goalkeeper Brad Stuver named to the Team of the Week bench following Austin’s 3-0 win over Real Salt Lake on Wednesday night at Q2 Stadium. Wolff and Stuver both earn their fifth Team of the Week selections of the season, while Djitté earns his first.
Wolff coached the team to its eighth home win of the season, which clinched a place in the 2022 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs for Austin FC. Under his leadership, Austin ranks second in MLS in goals scored with 63 and has the second-most goals scored by substitutes with 13.
Djitté scored the first hattrick in Club history, recording goals in the 60th, 76th, and 80th minutes after entering the match as a 58th-minute substitute. The hattrick is the sixth in league history scored by a substitute, and the first since 2010. The Senegalese striker now has four (4) goals to go with one (1) assist in 2022.
Stuver made six (6) saves to bring his season total to 92 saves and earn his eighth clean sheet, both tied for seventh-most among MLS goalkeepers.
