Austin FC II announced today that the Club has signed midfielder Adrián González to its MLS NEXT Pro roster. González joins on a contract guaranteed through 2026 with an option for 2027.
González, 21, has made 112 professional appearances in the USL Championship and MLS NEXT Pro. He had a career-best three (3) goals and five (5) assists with Columbus Crew 2 last season in 25 regular season appearances.
Born in Santa Rosa, California, González holds both American and Mexican citizenship. He spent time in the youth systems of CF Pachuca and LA Galaxy as a young player and eventually moved up to the Galaxy’s second team. Across four (4) seasons with LA Galaxy II (now called Ventura County FC), González tallied 84 matches with two (2) goals and eight (8) assists.
As a youth international, González made 11 appearances for Mexico between the U-16 and U-20 national team levels.
