Austin FC II announced today the Club signed attacker Bryan Arellano (ah-ray-YAH-no) to its MLS NEXT Pro roster. Arellano, who turned 18 on June 6, is the third Austin FC Academy player to sign a professional contract with ATXFC II, following defender Anthony De Anda and attacker Micah Burton.
Arellano joins Austin’s MLS NEXT Pro side on a two-year guaranteed deal through the end of the 2024 season, with additional options for 2025 and 2026.
“Signing my first professional contract is a dream come true,” said Arellano. “My time at the Austin FC Academy has allowed me to develop both as a player and as an individual. I would like to express my appreciation to my family, teammates, coaches, and the entire staff for their support throughout this journey.”
Arellano represented the U.S. U-19 Men’s Youth National Team for the program’s domestic camp in April 2022. He has been a member of the Austin FC Academy since July 2021, and was previously signed to an amateur agreement with Austin FC II.
“We are delighted for Bryan and his family for earning this opportunity at the professional level,” said Austin FC Interim Sporting Director Sean Rubio. “As our Academy continues to foster talented young players like Bryan, it’s a tremendous asset for them to be able to stay in Austin to gain their first professional experience.”
