Austin FC II announced today the team signed midfielder Steeve Louis Jean (Loo-EE zhan) to a professional contract on its MLS NEXT Pro roster. The deal keeps Louis Jean with Austin FC II for the remainder of the 2023 season, with options for 2024 and 2025. Louis Jean initially joined Austin FC II on an amateur contract on March 24, 2023.
“I am excited to be a part of Austin FC II and look forward to continuing to work with my teammates toward achieving our goals this season,” said Louis Jean. “I greatly appreciate both the coaching staff and organization for their confidence in me.”
Louis Jean, 18, was born in Léogane, Haiti. He played for Leg A-Z International in the United Premier Soccer League before signing an amateur contract with Austin FC II. He has appeared in 14 MLS NEXT Pro matches for the Verde & Black with seven (7) starts.
