Austin FC II is set for an in-state rivalry clash on Saturday night, when the Verde & Black will face North Texas SC at Choctaw Stadium. The match is set for a 7:45 p.m. CT kickoff and will stream live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
Austin FC II Outlook
ATXFC II picked up two points in its last outing, defeating Portland Timbers 2 in a penalty shootout following a 0-0 draw in regulation. Marcus Alstrup saved a penalty in the shootout and Sal Mazzaferro converted the winning spot kick. The Verde & Black will look to carry that momentum into this rivalry match.
Beginning with the match against North Texas this Saturday, ATXFC II will play four of its next five matches away. The home team claimed the win in both matches between the pair in 2023, with Austin FC II winning 3-0 at Parmer Field.
North Texas SC Outlook
NTSC has enjoyed a great start to 2024, with just one loss in its opening 12 matches. Its 28 points are good for second in the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference, and the team will enter Saturday riding a four-game winning streak.
Pedrinho has been the star man up front with four goals and three assists to his name. North Texas has yet to lose at home this season, but has drawn three of its six games at Choctaw Stadium.
