Austin FC II fell in a 2-1 defeat against Houston Dynamo 2 on the road on Sunday night.

Austin welcomed back first-team loanees Riley Thomas, Jimmy Farkarlun and Micah Burton to start against Houston, as well as Austin FC U-18 midfielder Mohammad Badawiya. Stefan Cleveland also joined ATXFC II as starting goalkeeper. Dynamo 2 found the net in the 23rd minute, and the Verde & Black were unable to answer despite multiple attempts by the end of the first half.

ATXFC II supplied a strong offensive effort in the second, applying pressure in the box for four shots on goal in 15 minutes following the hour mark. However, Houston doubled its lead through Enrique Correa in the 77th minute. Rubén Bonachera pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in added time, but it wasn't enough to earn the Verde & Black a result.
