The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) announced that Austin FC II midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga has been named to the Ugandan Men’s National Team roster for the team’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches vs. Botswana (June 7) and Algeria (June 10) at the Mandela National Stadium in Uganda.
Byaruhanga, 22, has made 18 previous international appearances for Uganda, including eight (8) in previous FIFA World Cup qualifiers. With Austin FC II, Byaruhanga has appeared in 33 contests (25 starts) across the 2023 and 2024 MLS NEXT Pro seasons.
He will depart Austin FC II following the team’s road match at Real Monarchs on Sunday, June 2, and return following Uganda’s match on June 10.
