Last Tuesday, 4ATX Foundation and Austin FC Founding Partner Netspend successfully delivered Verde Nets to the soccer team at Webb Middle School in north Austin. As part of the organizations’ promise to turn Austin “#Verde” by donating nets across the city’s communities, Netspend volunteers helped players hang the brand-new soccer nets in the goals at the Webb Middle School field.
“Soccer has the power to unite communities, but many fields and facilities in Austin lack the basic equipment to help local young players be the best that they can be,” said 4ATX Foundation Executive Director Kaitlin Swarts. “By delivering and installing Verde nets, we hope to improve the quality of local fields and give every young player in the city the tools they need to succeed.”
4ATX Foundation began the Verde Nets program in 2020, and with the help of Netspend in 2021, the organizations have donated over 15 Verde Nets to fields around Austin. Click here for more information on 4ATX Foundation, the non-profit arm of Austin FC.
