U.S. Soccer announced that Austin FC Academy midfielder Ervin Torres has been called up to the U.S. U-17 Men’s Youth National Team (MYNT) for their domestic training camp in Portland, Oregon from October 2 through October 8.
Torres represented the U.S. U-16 at the 2023 International Dream Cup during May and June in Fukushima, Japan. He made two (2) appearances, playing 135 minutes, including 90 minutes in the team's 2-1 victory against Japan U-16.
Torres signed an amateur agreement with Austin FC II on March 24, 2023, where he has appeared in three (3) matches this season. He is 1 of 5 current or former Austin FC Academy players to earn a youth national team call-up so far in 2023, alongside Owen Wolff (U.S. U-20), Micah Burton (U.S. U-17), Gavin Wolff (U.S. U-15), and Viggo Ortiz (FMF U-15).
