Austin FC II announced today several additions to its MLS NEXT Pro roster ahead of the team’s inaugural home opener on Friday, March 24, with five Austin FC Academy players signing amateur agreements to compete with the team.
Midfielder Bryan Arellano, midfielder Jordan Franco, defender Nick Kashambuzi, goalkeeper Spencer Sanderson, and midfielder Ervin Torres all signed amateur agreements to join ATXFC II. All five have competed for the Austin FC U-17 team, and will now have the opportunity to compete at the professional level in MLS NEXT Pro while maintaining collegiate and academy eligibility.
The five join former Austin FC Academy players Anthony De Anda and Micah Burton on the Austin FC II roster, both of whom signed professional MLS NEXT Pro contracts with the team earlier this year.
The structure of Austin’s MLS NEXT Pro team is designed to allow for players at all levels of the organization to get the playing and training experience that is right for them at any given moment of their development throughout their season.
