As Austin FC prepares for its fifth season in MLS, the Verde and Black are set to face one new first-time foe in San Diego FC, as well as two first time road trips to both San Diego and Cincinnati, respectively. Under first year Head Coach Nico Estevez, Austin FC will also welcome Atlanta United and the New England Revolution to Q2 Stadium for the first time in Club history.

On Sunday, March 23rd at 3:00 p.m. CT, in just the third home match of the season, the Verde and Black will square up against San Diego at Q2 Stadium, before heading West to Snapdragon Stadium for the first time on Saturday, May 31st at 9:30 p.m. CT.

Austin will then face Eastern Conference opponent FC Cincinnati for the second time in Club history. Though this time around, the matchup will take place in new territory as Austin prepares to visit TQL Stadium on Saturday, May 10th. To date, the Verde & Black have an impressive 11-6-2 against Eastern Conference teams since the start of 2022.

Additionally, Austin will welcome two new opponents to Q2 Stadium, beginning Wednesday, May 14 when Atlanta United makes their first visit Live Music Capital of the Worls, where kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. CT. New England Revolution then make their Austin debut on Saturday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. CT.

About San Diego FC

As San Diego FC gets set to make their debut in 2025 as the 30th team in Major League Soccer, the newcomers will be led by the youngest sporting director in MLS history, Tyler Heaps, as well as recently announced Head Coach Mikey Varas. Last June, San Diego made some noise signing Mexican star Hirving "Chucky" Lozano. He arrives from Eredivisie PSV Eindhoven as the club's first-ever Designated Player.

New Venues

Austin will welcome two new opponents to Q2 Stadium, as Eastern Conference teams Atlanta United and New England Revolution head to Austin on Wednesday, May 14 and Saturday, July 12, respectively. The Verde & Black previously faced Atlanta United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium back in 2022, resulting in a 3-0 shoutout for ATX. Austin will look to come up on top over NE, after a 2-2 draw last year in Foxborough.

Though Austin hosted FC Cincinnati in 2022, which led to a comprehensive 5-0 victory over the visitors, the Verde & Black will now make their debut visit to TQL Stadium in downtown Cincinnati when they take the 1,100-mile trip Northeast on Saturday, May 10th for a 6:30 p.m. CT kick-off.
