Austin FC announced today that defender Žan Kolmanič successfully underwent a procedure performed by Austin FC team orthopedist Dr. Doug Elenz to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, a season-ending injury which he suffered during a training session. He has begun rehabilitation at St. David’s Performance Center.
Kolmanič, a 23-year-old native of Slovenia, started six (6) MLS matches for Austin in 2023 prior to his injury. He has made 57 total appearances (41 starts) since joining the Verde & Black in 2021, tallying six (6) assists in that span.
