On October 1, Austin FC teamed up with Dawn, official partner of Major League Soccer and Austin FC, and Keep Austin Beautiful to lead a clean-up at Nash Hernandez Park Festival Beach, next to Lady Bird Lake east of Downtown Austin.
30 volunteers removed trash and debris from the beach and water’s edge as part of Austin FC’s ongoing commitment to protecting and promoting Austin’s green spaces, which are essential to making our city vibrant and full of life.
“At Austin FC we continue to strive to create a greener future in Austin for generations to come,” said Austin FC VP of Community Impact Trennis Jones. “It was terrific to work alongside Dawn, Keep Austin Beautiful, and so many volunteers to host this day of action.”
Volunteers at the event received a bottle of Dawn Powerwash, encouraging fans to continue supporting their community and wildlife at home, by using less water to clean their dishes. This is in line with Dawn's overall sustainability efforts to make products that are good for families and for the planet, without sacrificing safety, value and performance.
