Austin FC announced today the participating teams and schedule for El Arbolito Cup, a U-12, U-13, and U-14 academy tournament taking place from December 13-15 at St. David’s Performance Center. Teams from ATXFC and six (6) other Major League Soccer academies will compete in Austin, including Chicago Fire, Colorado Rapids, FC Cincinnati, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo FC, and Orlando City SC.
Each team will play a round robin within their group for a total of 4-5 games. Games will consist of two 25-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime for the U-12 & U-13 age groups, and two 35-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime for the U-14s, with champions crowned on Sunday, December 15.
In the group stages, Austin FC’s U-12 team will compete against teams from South Texas ODP, Orlando, and Colorado. Austin FC’s U-13 and U-14 teams will each face Houston, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Orlando.
