Austin FC drew 1-1 with LAFC on a rainy Wednesday night at Q2 Stadium, bringing the teamās home record to 6-3-2 this season. The attendance of 20,738 marked the Clubās 63rd consecutive MLS home sellout, extending the leagueās longest active streak.
Austin started the match on the front foot and were rewarded for their solid play with a goal in the 19th minute. SebastiƔn Driussi did well to win the ball in a dangerous area and pick out JƔder Obrian, who found the net for his fifth goal of the season. Ethan Finlay nearly added a second before halftime when his header went over the bar.
After the break, a total team defensive effort by Austin helped limit opportunities for LAFCās high-flying attack. ATXFC held the visitors without a shot on target until the 90th minute, but Kei Kamara found an equalizer in the final minute of normal time to ensure the teams shared the points.
