Austin FC drew 2-2 with Charlotte FC on Saturday night at Q2 Stadium with goals from Alex Ring and Jon Gallagher. Two (2) of the Club’s summer signings made their debuts in the match, as winger Osman Bukari started and defender Mikkel Desler came off the bench.
Austin went ahead in the 11th minute. A smooth bit of combination play on the edge of the penalty area culminated with Ring heading in a cross from Dani Pereira. But Charlotte equalized from the penalty spot before halftime.
