Three players from Austin FC are set to take part in international matches during the June FIFA window, before Copa América and UEFA EURO 2024 get started.
New signing Osman Bukari is set to represent Ghana, while center backs Julio Cascante and Leo Väisänen will join up with Costa Rica and Finland respectively.
Bukari has previously played for the Black Stars at both the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, with three goals and two assists in 17 career caps. Cascante has six previous senior international appearances for Costa Rica, and scored his first career international goal on September 12, 2023 vs. United Arab Emirates. Väisänen has played 26 matches for Finland to date, including seven UEFA Nations League matches, six FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and one match at UEFA EURO 2020.
