Austin Chronicle announced the winners of its 2024 Best of Austin Awards with Austin FC being recognized as Best Sports Team. Austin FC’s home venue Q2 Stadium received recognition as the city’s Best Venue.

Since joining Major League Soccer as the League’s 27th club in January 2019, Austin FC has gone on to sell out all 63 MLS home matches in its history. The Club holds the longest active sellout streak in the league. In its second year, Austin FC finished the regular season 2nd in the Western Conference, while also making a run to the Western Conference Finals during the 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs.

The club's front office and technical staffs have received multiple best-in-class awards since its inception, including Medical Staff of the Year, Marketing Team of the Year, Ticket Sales Team of the Year, and Communications Team of the Year. Austin FC President Andy Loughnane was named Doug Hamilton Executive of the Year in 2022.

Q2 Stadium was built as an Ode to Austin: from Gensler’s state-of-the-art design down to the hand-painted concourse murals and everything in between. Q2 Stadium has also been recognized for its commitment to sustainability, wing Green Sports Alliance 2023 Play to Zero awards in 2023 as both a Waste Leader and an Energy Player.

Fans visiting Q2 Stadium can get a taste of Austin’s vibrant local food scene thanks to the stadium’s commitment to featuring food and beverage options native to the city it calls home. Concession options include local favorites such as Black’s BBQ, Shawarma Point, Bao’d Up, Easy Tiger, Kerbey Lane, and more. Austin FC’s Executive Chef Sam Boisjoly recently sat down with ATX City Lifestyle to further discuss the incredible food & beverage experience at Q2 Stadium.
