Austin FC Head Coach Josh Wolff and winger Jáder Obrian were selected to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday following the team’s 2-0 home win over LA Galaxy on Saturday afternoon at Q2 Stadium. Both Wolff and Obrian earn their first Team of the Matchday selections of 2024.
Wolff’s side has won four (4) of its last five (5) matches, picking up 12 points – the most of any team in MLS during that span. The Verde & Black have allowed only one (1) goal in their last three (3) matches, and kept back-to-back clean sheets against Houston and LA Galaxy.
Obrian played a role in both Austin goals on Saturday, assisting Diego Rubio with a clever through ball for the first and scoring the second himself via a quick counterattack. The Colombian winger now has two (2) goals and two (2) assists to his name this season.
