Three offseason arrivals all scored for Austin FC on Sunday, as the Verde & Black picked up a 3-1 victory over LA Galaxy in a preseason friendly at the Coachella Valley Invitational.
Jáder Obrian opened the scoring just five minutes into the match, popping up in the box to tuck away a cross from Žan Kolmanič. The Galaxy equalized 10 minutes later through Gino Vivi, and the teams stayed level at 1-1 until the late stages of the match.
Diego Rubio, who was announced as the Club's latest signing on Monday, broke the deadlock on 82 minutes on an assist from SuperDraft selection Jimmy Farkarlun. Farkarlun then bagged a goal himself to seal the result, heading home a delivery from Ethan Finlay.
Austin FC is back in action on Wednesday, when the team will play the final match of its Coachella Valley Invitational schedule against New York Red Bulls (3 pm CT/1 pm PT).
