The Ghana Football Association today announced several additions to the Ghana Men’s National Team roster for two (2) Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches in November, with Austin FC winger Osman Bukari included in the squad.
The Black Stars will face Angola away on Friday, November 15 and Niger at home on Monday, November 18. Ghana must win both matches to finish in the top two (2) in their group and qualify for the 2025 AFCON.
Bukari, 25, joined Austin FC as a Designated Player signing in the summer of 2024. He made nine (9) MLS appearances in the latter half of the season, recording one (1) goal and two (2) assists.
Bukari represented Ghana at both the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast. He scored a World Cup goal in Ghana’s match against Portugal and played 45 minutes vs. Uruguay at the tournament. Bukari has made 17 senior international appearances for Ghana to date with three (3) goals and two (2) assists to his name.
