Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver was voted to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday for his role in the team’s 2-0 away win over Nashville SC on Saturday night at GEODIS Park. Stuver earns his third Team of the Matchday honor of 2024.
Stuver came up big in the opening minutes of the game, saving a penalty kick attempt by Nashville’s Hany Mukhtar in the 7th minute. Stuver has now saved 6 of the 17 penalties he has faced for Austin FC including penalty shootouts.
In total, Stuver made seven (7) saves in the victory. He helped the team keep its seventh shutout of the season and the fifth on the road.
