Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver was voted to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday for his role in the team’s 1-0 away win over Portland Timbers on Wednesday night at Providence Park. Stuver earns his team-high fifth Team of the Matchday honor of 2024.
Stuver’s 11 saves set a new single match career best for the Verde & Black goalkeeper. He denied Portland’s Jonathan RodrÃguez twice in key moments in the second half, including in a one-on-one situation in the 66th minute.
Stuver leads MLS in goals saved above average (7.92) and saves (137) in 2024.
