On Wednesday night, Copa Tejas - the supporter-created trophy awarded to the top MLS team in Texas each season - is up for grabs. Austin FC claimed Copa Tejas each of the last two seasons and will be hungry to reserve in-state bragging rights for a third consecutive year.
At Toyota Stadium on Wednesday, the math is simple for both Austin and Dallas. Under the new rules for this season, in which the Copa Tejas standings are determined by points-per-match in games between Texas teams, Austin would lift the trophy with either a win or a draw in Frisco. Dallas would do so with a victory of their own.
Fans can watch the match in English or Spanish with MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, or listen on local radio in English on iHeart Radio’s Alt 97.5 and in Spanish on Univision’s TUDN Radio Austin (104.3-HD2, KLQB-FM). Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. CT.
