4ATX Foundation announced today a new partnership with DLA Piper and SolarWinds which will see the organizations become the presenting partners for 4ATX’s Verde Leaders program at Burnet Middle School during the 2022-2023 school year.
“4ATX Foundation is excited to partner with DLA Piper and SolarWinds to help make sure that young soccer players in Austin are able to play the sport and develop strong leadership skills and a sense of community,” said 4ATX Foundation Executive Director Kaitlin Mauro. “We look forward to working together to continue building on the success of the Verde Leaders program as it enters its sixth season.”
The Verde Leaders program provides free afterschool soccer training and youth leadership sessions for underprivileged children from the greater Austin area, aiming for all its students to have the skills and community of support they need to find personal and academic success. Volunteers from DLA Piper and SolarWinds will have the opportunity to participate in Verde Leaders events throughout the school year as volunteer coaches and mentors.
“4ATX Foundation is finding innovative ways to help Austinites thrive socially, emotionally and physically,” said Nicky Brennig, Managing Partner of the DLA Piper’s Austin office. “Likewise, DLA Piper is a committed supporter of the Austin community and is excited to be partnering with SolarWinds to support the Verde Leaders program and its work with underprivileged children in Austin.”
“The incredible impact the 4ATX Foundation is having on the lives of young people throughout Central Texas is inspiring, and we’re honored to join with DLA Piper as presenting partners of the Verde Leaders program at Burnet Middle School,” said Jason Bliss, Executive VP and Chief Administrative Officer at SolarWinds. “Not only are we lovers of the beautiful game at SolarWinds, we also know the Verde Leaders program is about much more than just playing soccer. With the love of soccer at its core, the Verde Leaders program also provides kids with valuable lessons in leadership, instills self-confidence, and fosters academic success—all of which perfectly align with our company’s purpose focused on enriching the lives of the people in the communities where we work and live.”
Each Verde Leader student at Burnet Middle School will receive an adidas jersey with DLA Piper and SolarWinds logos on the sleeve for use during the 2022–2023 school year. To learn more about the Verde Leaders program, visit www.austinfc.com/community/verde-leaders.
