4ATX Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Austin FC, recently welcomed its newest board member, and for anyone who follows the team, it’s a familiar face. Austin FC defender and 2023 MLS All-Star Jon Gallagher was appointed as a member of the 4ATX Foundation Board following a unanimous vote at the Q4 Board meeting back in December, based on his tenure at the Club and his history of giving back to the community through volunteering with 4ATX Foundation.
Throughout his time with Austin FC, Jon has volunteered at various 4ATX youth leadership programming, including playing with first-time soccer players at Clinics 4ATX pres. by St. David's HealthCare, and discussing leadership and personal growth with middle school Verde Leaders.
“I’m honored to be the first Austin FC player to join the 4ATX Foundation Board,” said Gallagher. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to give back to the community that has supported me and the team so much.”
Jon will serve a one-year term on the Board of Directors and serve alongside prominent local business and community leaders to ensure 4ATX Foundation is on track to meet its goals.
“We're incredibly proud to welcome Jon to 4ATX’s Board of Directors,” said 4ATX Executive Director Kaitlin Mauro. “His involvement offers a unique opportunity for all of us to demonstrate the power of authentic connection through soccer and its ability to positively impact our community.”
