4ATX Foundation, Austin FC’s nonprofit arm, announced today a new partnership with locally owned and operated Mexican-American food brand Siete Family Foods.
As part of the partnership, Siete will be the presenting sponsor of Verde Leaders Gus Garcia Young Men’s Leadership Academy for the remainder of the program’s 2023 season. The Austin ISD middle school is categorized as a Title I school, where 97% of students are considered economically disadvantaged and 66% are English Language Learners.
“We’re grateful to partner with an organization like Siete, who prioritize mission-aligned values of family, inclusivity, and healthy living,” said 4ATX Foundation Executive Director Kaitlin Mauro. “We look forward to working with them to help families and young people from underserved areas thrive – socially, emotionally, and physically.”
The Austin-based company will be donating their better-for-you tortilla chips, potato chips, and other heritage-inspired snacks to all Verde Leaders sites for students and families to enjoy. As part of the partnership, Siete employees will volunteer at Gus Garcia YMLA, where they will help students engage in soccer and social-emotional learning activities. In addition, Siete Foods will sponsor a Verde Leaders Community event this upcoming fall season. Siete was a supporting partner for the annual Retas FC Cup on June 10, providing snacks for the participating high school students.
“We are excited to be in partnership with 4ATX. Part of our mission at Siete is to create positive, lasting change in communities that need it most through entrepreneurship, education, and wellness. So it’s special to team up with 4ATX to serve our local Austin community using soccer as a way to connect people and build future leaders,” said Siete CEO, Miguel Garza.
Siete Foods will also feature 4ATX Foundation in a seasonal campaign to benefit the Foundation, with more details to come.
